It's no surprise to hear the C and C++ communities say, 'Rust is excellent and good for new projects.' To me, it sounds like 'DO NOT TOUCH MY PIE.' The Linux kernel is driven by the C community, and Rust seems to struggle entering that space because Linux is C. This reminds me of a quote from Filho: 'I believe the future of kernels is with memory-safe languages. If Linux doesn't internalize this, another kernel will do to it what it did to Unix.' #linux #rust
