regardless of the point i'm trying to make, does anyone here think there will be domains in the software world that will remain free from the ai hype train—where no one integrates ai, and they're just as good as they are? are we forcefully integrating ai into everything?

However, not every domain will benefit from it. In some areas, traditional methods might still be more effective, and there could be cases where AI is overhyped or unnecessarily forced into solutions where it doesn't add significant value.
