This is a Fediverse instance that uses the ActivityPub protocol. In other words, users at this host can communicate with people that use software like Mastodon, Pleroma, Friendica, etc. all around the world.

There is no automatic sign-up process for this server. If you are a friend of mine and frequently use the Fediverse, mail me on dharmiik [at] proton [dot] me, and let me get you an account on the instance.

This is a guideline for what's allowed or disallowed here. These are basic and flexible—just try to follow them:

Be respectful: Keep the space clean and help others privately when they face issues. Avoid public screenshots of errors or problems.
Use proper images: Prefer square images for posts unless full-sized ones are absolutely necessary.
Share and engage: Feel free to post useful, fun, or creative content. Shitposting is welcome—just add some context so everyone can join the fun!
Use content warnings: Add content warnings for spoilers or sensitive topics like politics or mental health to keep the space considerate for everyone.

How to Post

Messages in snac allow a special subset of Markdown, enabling you to format text with styles like:

*Emphasized*: Use one asterisk *like this*
**Strong**: Use two asterisks **like this**
`Monospaced`: Use backquotes `like this`

Other formatting options include:

Line breaks: Written as you type, without special characters.
Blockquotes: Prepend lines with a greater-than symbol (>):
This is quoted text
All angle-prepended lines are grouped in the same blockquote

Preformatted text: Use triple backquotes (```):

URLs: Links are made clickable automatically, like this example by either posting the link with https://example.com or using markdown as [link-label](link).
Emojis: Add simple emojis like X-D <3 :beer: :shrug: :shrug2:. We also have :debian: emoji. Ping @admin and let me know any emoji you want.
